We are the Municipal Institution of Sumy Comprehensive School № 27.
For its fifty-year history of existence, the institution has established a large number of traditions and achievements, the information about which is kept in two thematic museums – the Military-historical Museum ‘Memory of Generations’ and the Museum of Ethnography ‘Berehynia’.
The students of our school are smart and sporty, talented and creative, well-organised and disciplined.
Due to the persistent cooperation of teachers and students, the school has a large number of winners in Ukrainian language, Math, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Geography and Craft competitions. Our students are the participants of school euroclub ‘Euro-27’, online language camps GoGlobal and GoCamp. The members of vocal ensemble ‘Mriya’ glorify our school at city, regional, national and international singing contents.
Our educational institution is the winner of the ‘Samsung to Knowledge’ competition, the National Open-World Project. We implement an ecology-friendly projects ‘Life Without Garbage’, the landscaping program of the territory.
As the participants of the All-Ukrainian program of education for democratic citizenship ‘Democratic School’, we want to evolve and change the level of life in our country. Students self-government is represented by the members of the School Student Republic, the team of class leaders who improve the educational process in the institution, participate in youth events of the city council
Sumy is a city in the northeastern part of Ukraine. It is situated on the banks of the Psel River. Although a settlement existed there in the 8th and 9th centuries, Sumy was founded as a fortress in 1652 and as a town in 1780. Our city is historically located on the banks of three rivers. There is a legend that the name of the city originates from three bags of gold that were found near one of the rivers.
Sumy is famous as a center of the sugar industry. The outstanding representatives of the dynasties of sugar tycoons the Symyrenkos, the Kharytonenkos, the Khanenkos and the Tereshchenkos made a great contribution into the development of our city and Ukraine in general.
If you visit Sumy in the future, you’ll be impressed by the European architecture of buildings, green calm and shady streets, several unique museums and monuments can show the history and cultural life of our region.
We would like to cooperate in the topics of ecology, healthy lifestyle, development of student self-government and leadership among young people. We are also open to youth exchanges, because want to create a common space for the implementation of scientific, artistic or sports projects (online, mixed or stationary).
